DSOA issues the following three types of licenses based on the business activity a company looking to set up in DSOA plans to conduct.
Trade License: allows trading (activities related to import, export and distribution) of products specified in license subject to the regulations of the license issuing authority.
Service License: allows the registered entity to carry out specified services like lawyers, accounting firms and business consultants.
Industrial License: allows to import raw materials, carry out the manufacture of specified products, process, assemble, package and export the finished product to any country. Manufacturing activities are however limited and closely monitored due to safety regulations.

Setting up a business in Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZA) requires planning and decision making through different phases. This involves preparation of comprehensive business plan, choosing suitable infrastructure, estimating required human work force etc. The business registration or licensing process can be completed only after depositing the minimum capital mandated by Dubai Airport Free Zone in a bank account in UAE. A company being formed may have either an individual shareholder or corporate shareholder or both. The incorporation process requires the shareholders to sign the documents in the presence of DAFZA representatives.

Dubai Airport Free Zone offers a wide range of high quality, free-sized offices, available for rent on an annual basis. You can individually tailor these offices to create an environment that reflects your company’s identity and branding. Each office is equipped with carpeting, wallpaper, false ceiling and window shades, and only the finest materials are used. A minimum space of 50 sqm is required to obtain a license and 4 employee visas are granted with every 50 sqm rented.
High quality, thermally insulated, purpose-built units are available to rent on an annual basis. Tenants are allowed to choose between using their LIU as either, a warehouse for storage and distribution, or as a factory for assembly and light production. If required, multiple units can be used to suit individual requirements. Each LIU of approximately 350 sqm has ground and mezzanine floor offices and is conveniently located close to the airport’s apron.
If you wish to construct your own warehouse or factory, Dubai Airport Free Zone offers plots of land on lease, in varying sizes. Up to 60% of the allotted land can be utilized for construction. To conform to environmental requisites and in keeping with the policy of promoting and encouraging environmentally sound technologies, Dubai Airport Free Zone will ensure that factories or warehouses constructed within our facility comply with environmentally safe production procedures. Minimum area available is 2,500 sqm. The lease term is 15 years, renewable every 15 years with one month’s notice.
